Music Project Show
Since January we have been working with a large group of young people aged between 12 and 17yrs learning performance skills, singing, building confidence and working as a team whilst aiming towards producing a full-scale show in front of a live audience.
We have been assisted in this project by ‘The Charitones’ a four-piece vocal group made up of mostly serving or ex police officers who have raised over £80k for charities.
The project is not a talent show designed to demonstrate how good anyone is. This is about supporting each other, having confidence to take on a challenge, heading into the unknown and stepping out of comfort zones to perform and be filmed on stage in front of a live audience.
We have had our ups and downs throughout the project with some of the young people suffering crises of confidence and mental health issues. But with the right support and encouragement we have a fantastic show ready to be enjoyed.
The young people have worked hard and pushed themselves into an environment they never thought they would ever participate in.
Please show your support.
We cordially invite you to attend our show on 18th June 2022 doors open at 6:45 pm for a 7:30 pm start.
A licensed bar will be available, and tickets are £5 with proceeds re-invested in the Academy.
